The bills totaled $5,553.12. There were three bills that a client from Hammond brought to me last year. I just helped him cancel the final bill.
The senior from Hammond was relieved. He told me how much he appreciated our help to cancel the wrongful medical bills. I helped him without charging him a dime.
While I worked with him on the last bill, he told me something. He attends senior citizen exercise classes. He told me that senior citizens at the class he attends talk to each other about our insurance agency and me. They appreciate our agency for helping our clients with Medicare related medical bill problems AT NO CHARGE. He told me that they like me for doing such a tough job and keeping a friendly, mellow personality while I do the work. It was the nicest compliment that I have received in a long time.
It took a while because many people who work in the medical billing field don’t like to be told that there was a mistake on a bill to a senior citizen and that the mistake has to be fixed. Some cooperate well and fast. Some don’t. Some are obstinate. It takes longer to fix a Medicare related medical bill problem when I don’t get cooperation.
That was why it took a few months to help this client. But I got the job done. Our client is free of the wrongful bills and will not be hounded to pay bills that he really did not owe.
