On May 30, 2019, I received mail which confirmed that I had saved a client from Wheatfield $232 by catching a mistake on a medical bill.
Our client went to a doctor who ordered some laboratory work. The laboratory filed a claim with Medicare without giving information that justified the service medically. You can’t just ask Medicare to pay for a service that you want. You must have a medical reason for wanting the service.
Her doctor made the mistake of not giving the laboratory the reason for the laboratory tests. So, Medicare denied the claim and the laboratory sent our client a bill for $232.
Working with the client, I phoned the doctor’s office and explained the problem. The doctor’s assistant quickly realized the mistake and promised to resend information to the laboratory so that it could file the claim properly and get paid. Thus, I saved our client $232.
All the help that I gave this client was FREE OF CHARGE. This insurance agency is proud of our reputation for helping our clients with such matters. If your insurance agent or agency does not give this high level of customer service, why not switch to one that does?
